Design by Pablo Pardo, 2000. Made in the U.S.A. by Pablo Pardo. This innovative table lamp calls to mind the ancient lighthouse of Alexandria. It captures its essence by employing old optical principles: the glass magnifying lens, which Pablo has re-purposed for use in the Lighthouse Lamp to either focus or diffuse light. The lighthouse lamp represents an ancient idea in light projection in which light rays are transmitted through a fresnel lens to create a single, brightly-focused beam. The lamp is also available with an opaque white reflector for both downlight and uplight applications. The lens offers 360 degree adjustability with a fully dimmable halogen light source.
