Design by Ron Rezek. By The Modern Fan Company. The Nimbus incorporates several important innovative mechanical and design features not found in other fans. These features include: a die-cast zinc body which enables the Nimbus to be plated with a nickel finish, an uncluttered canopy with concealed screws, a built-in light, a standard slope ceiling adapter, five blades and a thin down rod design. In addition the Nimbus is the first ceiling fan to use a rotor/blade holder which is placed on top of the fan. This enables easy blade installation from the top and gives plenty of room for a light using either an incandescent or compact fluorescent lamp. Note: Any control ordered with a fan that has been configured with an energy-saving CFL will be supplied in a non-dimming version. The Nimbus is offered in a matte nickel or dark bronze finish. Blades may be specified in one of five finishes: nickel, maple, black, white or mahogany. Select 42" or 52" blade span. The Nimbus is powered by a high silicon steel motor incorporating 16 poles and using sealed bearings to insure long life and cool running. The five blades and the balanced rotor give the Nimbus a turbine-like smoothness of operation. Includes 4" and 10" downrods for 18" or 24" overall height. Optional downrods available for alternate heights. The fan can accommodate a sloped ceiling up to 33eg;. For slopes over 33eg; but under 45eg;, use the sloped ceiling adapter (sold separately).
